If the vet requests a urine sample, it is easiest to collect it in the morning, as it is usually quicker to obtain the sample. Book an early morning consult, preferably before 10 am, and bring a book or your laptop in case you need to wait. 

If the bladder is empty, we give an injection of fluids under the skin, and your rabbit will be placed in “wee jail” with non-absorbent bedding and some snacks. 

Usually, we can get a sample in an hour, but the current record holder is up to 6 hours! We can also organise for your bunny to hang out with us for the day while you go to work etc.
